SEATTLE, May 18, 2010 -- KCPQ Television (Channel 13; FOX) aired a 'Wellness Report' story the evening of May 17 about the Gossman Center for Advanced Pediatric and Perinatal Simulation at Swedish, which is a training resource for physicians and clinicians within the Swedish system as well as those from hospitals, clinics and nursing schools from around the region.
The Gossman Center for Advanced Pediatric and Perinatal Simulation at Swedish is a medical simulation center designed to advance the skills of health-care professionals in critical clinical situations. It is the first simulation center in the Pacific Northwest to focus primarily on pediatric and perinatal simulation. Its mission is to offer a multidisciplinary training facility dedicated to providing high-quality, state-of the-art education using medical simulation to promote skill acquisition, clinical decision making, teamwork, and patient safety in a collaborative environment.
