Swedish/Issaquah will host the Zimmer Mobile Learning Center (MLC) on Tuesday, Nov. 13 from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The public is invited to come tour the MLC and learn more about orthopedics, including a wide-range of orthopedic topics (such as arthritis awareness), new technologies and treatment options.
The Zimmer MLC is a traveling educational vehicle that houses a complete training and educational facility to provide hands-on opportunities and educational programs for health-care staff, as well as residents in the community.
The expandable bus is approximately 45 feet long by 14 feet high. The inside features seating for 25, complete audio/visual equipment, four pull-down workstations, an X-ray view box, and an impressive display of orthopedic products and equipment.
