SEATTLE, June 10, 2013 - Swedish learned today that Seattle Police have arrested the woman suspected of entering patient rooms at Swedish/First Hill on April 13 and attempting to steal narcotics. Swedish Nursing, Security and Administration leaders worked closely with law enforcement and state regulatory officials in helping to identify this suspect and safeguard patients across Western Washington.

SEATTLE, June 6, 2013 – Swedish Cancer Institute (SCI) announced today that Saul Rivkin, M.D., medical oncologist, as well as founder and board chair of the Marsha Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer Research, will retire from his clinical practice at SCI on July 1, 2013. The highly respected and revered physician, who is 77 years old and has five daughters and seven grandchildren, Dr. Rivkin is best known for his committed, tenacious approach to fighting cancer and the personal connection he has established with the thousands of patients he has cared for over the years.
Seattle Channel highlights Swedish MS Center research
Thousands of people are diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) each year. The Pacific Northwest is home to more than 12,000 people living with the disease. Our area is also making great strides in research to find the cause and new treatments for MS.
The Seattle Channel featured a health special Thursday documenting the lives people affected by the disease and the progress area doctors and scientists are making. SEATTLE – On Saturday, April 13, 2013 an incident occurred involving a woman wearing a scrub top, who posed as an employee and entered two patient rooms on different clinical floors at Swedish/First Hill (747 Broadway, Seattle) and attempted to alter Patient-Controlled Analgesia pumps to obtain pain medication.
