A Glimpse of the Future at Swedish Issaquah
Check out this animation featuring the new Swedish Medical Center being built in the Issaquah Highlands. You’ll experience the future campus from the air and ground. The animation was provided by Studio 216 for CollinsWoerman, the architect on the Swedish project.

Foundation excavation on the construction site was completed in September to avoid inclement weather, and foundation work for the new facility will start in January 2010.

The "first dig"
On Tuesday, Aug. 18, Swedish officially broke ground and started site excavation for the new medical center. An formal groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the start of the new facility will be held on Oct. 12. We are pleased to announce that Gov. Christine Gregoire will join us to help commemorate the historic milestone and show her support for the project.
