Volunteering showcases your talents and skills, exposes you to the healthcare field and most significantly, makes a difference in the lives of those who seek care in our facilities and support staff who provide care to them.

Observation and Shadowing

For Observation and Shadowing requests of a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician’s assistant, please visit this link for the Swedish Graduate Medical Education Department.

For those interested in shadowing nurses or other allied health care careers and internships e.g. rehab, radiology, medical assistants, etc. please email our Academic Affiliations Specialist, Kathryn.ogden@swedish.org

Please note: Due to statutory requirements, persons entering into a contract need to be at least 18 years old in order to shadow or volunteer in a clinical or emergency room setting. Because of confidentiality agreement requirements, unless the shadowee or volunteer is at least 18, the agreement would be invalid.
