The purpose of this protocol is to provide clinical management guidelines to ensure uniform care for the adult patient receiving procedural sedation.

Fluoroscopic Radiation Safety
The goal of this online module is to provide participants with the information needed to safely and effectively minimize radiation doses to patients, prevent the possibility of acute radiation injuries, maintain both an actual and perceived safe working environment, and comply with state and federal limits on employees and the general public.

Grand Rounds
Grand Rounds provides an ongoing forum for physicians and allied health professionals to enhance their diagnostic, clinical, and treatment skills. The sessions are targeted to all specialties and health-care professionals. The goal of the series is not only to teach best practices, but to actively involve medical, nursing, pharmacy and therapy staff in real-time improvement of patient care at Swedish Medical Center.

Managing Patients in Alcohol Withdrawal
The goal of this self-learning module is to enable clinicians with prescriptive authority and other caregivers to manage alcohol-dependent patients through safe withdrawal per the new alcohol withdrawal order sets.

Murdock Stroke Educational Series
Swedish Medical Center received a grant from the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust to implement stroke telemedicine partnerships with four small/rural hospitals in Washington State. As part of this grant, we are pleased to offer TeleCME Stroke educational programs, including live internet broadcasts and online CME courses.

Neuroscience Grand Rounds
The Neuroscience Grand Rounds Series provides an ongoing setting to inform physicians and allied health professionals about current and emerging research for neurological conditions. By engaging physicians and allied health professionals on a regular basis, the series also provides participants with frequent updates on diagnostic and treatment options from a variety of neurological disciplines. The sessions are targeted towards neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, rehabilitation medicine and critical care physicians, cardiologists and allied health professionals in related fields.

Opioid Prescribing Legislation
The goal of the self-learning module, Using Methadone for Chronic Pain, is to provide prescribing practitioners with the information needed to safely and effectively prescribe opioids and methadone where appropriate.
