Getting a Second Opinion

Once you’ve been told you have a brain tumor, it’s vital to move quickly toward a treatment plan. At the Ivy Center, we can usually provide a second opinion within 24 hours of your call.

Properly diagnosing brain tumors is the key to determining the most effective treatment. The Ivy Center provides second opinions for people from across the country and around the world. In many cases, people who come to us for a second opinion have received treatment options based on limited options in their areas.

At the Ivy Center, we are able to offer our patients the most comprehensive range of treatment options available today.

The Ivy Center has a special focus on glioblastomas, the most common and aggressive type of brain cancer. Often, patients come to us for a second opinion when they’ve been told nothing more can be done for them.

While there is not yet a cure for glioblastomas, we have been able to help many of these patients live longer with a better quality of life.

We also have an outstanding brain cancer research program. Through our clinical trials, we are often able to offer people treatment that's not widely available.

If you need a second opinion, call 206-320-2300 to make an appointment now. If you do not live in the Seattle area, we can have your medical records, images and test results sent to us. In most cases, we can review them and get back to you within 24 hours
