Pre-Admission Visit

You will receive your surgery date and time from the thoracic surgery office along with a hospital registration packet. Hospital registration can also be completed by phone or on the day of your surgery. Your surgeon will provide you and your family with an overview of your surgery and hospital stay.

Your pre-admission visit will be scheduled at least two days before your surgery. Any necessary pre-operative testing will be done at that time. This may include blood work, an electrocardiogram (EKG) or a chest X-ray. Please bring all of your current medication containers with you to this appointment. If you have a pacemaker or implanted medical device, please bring the identification card for that device.

The Pre-Admission Center is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and can be reached directly at (206) 386-2997. You can also visit www.swedish.org and look under “Surgical Services.”
