This care provider is a specialist in cardiology so interacting with him is not going to be like interacting with a GP. Our relationship is fairy young and began following an ER visit almost 1 year ago. So far his treatment is going as we expect it should be going and I am confident will continue for some time. One of our challenges is that I also see an Electrophysiologist and given that they both have their own individual ideas on how to proceed even though they should be acting in unison and respecting each others treatment plan concepts. So far we have seen that in him as he listens to us, reviews the EP's notes and tests and then makes decisions based on all Input, that is how it should be and not what we have seen In other cases and other providers. This is one thing that Is extremely Important to us and drives our loyalty to remain as a patient with him. .

I brought my son who is a cardiac ICU nurse to the appointment. When Dr. Burger entered the room he did not greet him or introduce himself. My son was put off by this. I introduced my son and explained he was there to help understand my condition and ask any pertinent questions. I felt Dr. Burger's explanations were too technical and I had to ask my son to translate/explain later. Overall Dr. Burger's bedside manner has room for improvement.
