I saw Dr. Parikh as a follow up to a hospitalization, which was scheduled by the hospital staff. He had reviewed the records from the hospitalization as well as from my regular cardiologist. He was very knowledgeable, and able to listen and respond to questions and concerns from both myself and my husband in a respectful manner. He was clear in his recommendations, followed up in a timely manner regarding referrals to other specialists, and promptly answered questions I had via mychart regarding my understanding of his notes, which were also posted on mychart within a day. He was also very personable.

This doctor is one of the best I have had. My internist recommended I go onto a Statin drug which I did not want to do. Went to Hameed and he was thorough in testing my calcium levels to determine if Statins were necessary. My calcium levels were 0 and he said that my cholesterol numbers looked good, so no need for statin drug. I think regular doctors are way too quick to put people on statins without testing calcium levels and considering all the facts.
