I greatly impressed with this visit. It was different than my first one. I was skeptical at first about returning but after this visit I am really impressed. The Dr was excellent knowledgeable and well aware of my concerns. Iam planning on staying with him foe followup! His nurse/assistant should get a raise. She is one of or maybe the best person I have dealt with in her type of position. She adds a great deal to the excellent care from the doctor. It is very hard to find someone as competent and as personable as this professional.

The doctor was very good about giving me the options for my future eye surgery. I needed a general exam to determine how far my cataracts had progressed, and if I was able to get my lenses replaced. I am diabetic too, so I wanted to have an exam for that too. The doctor was very good about going through my results and explaining everything.

He accurately diagnosed my underlying condition within 5 minutes of his exam, after my optometrist & a different ophthalmologist were unable to do so over a period of several months. He is easy to understand; he shows empathy for & listens carefully to his patients, asking pertinent questions. I'm grateful to have found him, & that he was able to fit me inhe's resolved my acute eye discomfort, providing me with much-needed relief after months of pain and irritation in my eyes.

Surgery on one's eyes, no matter how "routine", can make one apprehensive at best. Everyone at PacMed - and Dr. Chia in particular - were so calm and caring, it couldn't have been a more positive experience.
