As a dermatologist, I strive to partner with my patients to effectively identify and address their medical, surgical or cosmetic dermatologic concerns and needs. My goal is to provide each patient with the most up-to-date personalized evidence-based care possible. The health of our skin is at the mercy of our genetic composition and environmental factors. Through good skin care and preventative measures we can enhance skin health, potentially reducing the need for medical intervention. I have experience in my time in Seattle with two dermatologists, one not in the Swedish Group. Dr. Baze In the Swedish Group is the best of the two, based on my impression. I thought he examined carefully my skin head to toe completely, found one important problem needing biopsy, immediately removed by freezing a few moles that I requested to be removed, and I'm happily going back for the necessary day minor surgery on the biopsy site within a month. Thanks to him and the Swedish process. Only problem is the multi-month wait time for the original appointment. I hope you can find some other dermatologists to reduce the backlog. On the other hand, Dr. Baze was worth the wait.

Dr Baze is absolutely the best! Totally trust him. The only issue is scheduling. It takes forever to get ANY appointments for Any of my swedish providers. Swedish is always 4 plus months out. When there is a specific concern , it Is still often problematic ( example: I had bladder infection, they squeezed me in 4 days later and was told I had endangered my self! And I had told the gatekeeper that it was a UTI and still was told to wait. They have changed their gatekeeper rules since then on UTIs but it's one concrete example of what I consider the Swedish gatekeeper / appointment availability problem) . With Dr Baze, even though it takes months for appt, at least they are kind, and try to put you on a call list . Baze's people are the best, feel comfortable even with male nurse and med stenographer.

The only real issue I had was that Dr Baze's practice was fully booked out to the end of Summer, making a quick visit unlikely. However, the schedule is recognized my situation might require a quicker response, and immediately began making opportunities for me due to cancellations a possibility. As a result I was seen within a few weeks of my initial attempt to book an appointment. This was an exceptionally great experience for me.
