Surri Evans, Doula

I am committed to showing up to each birthing family giving my all leading with empathy and compassion, meeting them where they are. I have always been a nurturer and I consider it an honor to assist in this beautiful time in one's life. I believe that every birthing person deserves to be seen heard, validated and supported. and as your doula I will do just that along with encouraging self advocation. I am a mother, daughter and friend. I believe my life experience and the knowledge of evidence based practices, qualifies me to support families in the capacity that I do, and I strive to make each birthing experience the best because you deserve it. After learning that there was critical need for black birth workers in 2023, I received my training at Bastyr University, I am proud to call myself a birth doula. Some of the things I enjoy are spending time with my children, trying new restaurants and cuddling with my yorkie.
