I was nervous about my visit because I have a number of new health problems, but Dr. Karmali made me feel very comfortable. She is so easy to talk to and non-judgemental. She answered all of my questions and was very thorough with determining my care plan.I also thought everyone else at this clinic was excellent! The receptionist was joyful and pleasant (she greeted me immediately), the person who escorted me to and from the exam room was thorough (she verified my identity by asking my birthdate, which I appreciate), the MA was organized and confident (I felt like she really knew what she was doing), and the person who drew my blood was also great (she verified my insurance, showed me the labeled vials, etc). These small details and behaviors are what I look for and value.

I love Dr Karmali, she is wonderful. I have communicated by way of email to her, and sometimes I get a response from a staff person. I would prefer that they relay my message to Dr Karmali than for them to answer my question, and sometimes I don't know if my message was passed along to her. One time recently I called with a concern and talked to a nurse, I think, who said she would relay my message to the Dr and call me back but I don't think she did, as I did not get a call back from anyone.

Dr. Karmali is the best pcp ever! Sometimes it takes longer than I would like to get an appointment with her- but that is because she wo rks part time and is very popular. She always gives me the time that I need- I know I will be fully listened to and have my questions answered. We did not discuss my thyroid meds (except to confirm refills) because I have been on them a long time- and the tests to check thyroid levels have been consistently good. I feel privileged to have had Dr. Karmali For my doctor.
