About Jennifer A. Saam
Originally from upstate New York, Dr. Saam graduated first in her class at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, and went on to complete an additional three years of specialty residency training at Swedish Medical Center in Foot and Ankle Reconstructive Surgery. Special interests include sports medicine, biomechanics, pediatric foot problems, and bunion surgery. In addition to caring for her patients, Dr. Saam also speaks in the community about podiatric issues. Recent lectures include, “The Diabetic Foot” for the Overlake Hospital Adult Health Education program, and, “Anatomy, Neurology, Vascular System, and Biomechanics of the Foot”, part of the Nurses’ Foot Seminar at Swedish Medical Center. Dr. Saam is also a regular volunteer at Super Jock ‘n Jill’s “medical night” in Redmond, where you are welcome to stop by and ask her about any foot/ankle concerns! Through years of competitive running and recreational skiing, Dr. Saam has first-hand knowledge of the aches and pains experienced by athletes. She has completed eight marathons, numerous half-marathons and 10Ks, and proudly volunteers her time each fall at the Susan G. Komen 3-Day walk for Breast Cancer. Dr. Saam and her husband and three young children live on the Eastside and enjoy getting outdoors as much as possible. In addition to spending time with family, she also enjoys running, skiing, travel, and coffee shops.
