About Harry L. Teicher
My patients and I are partners in achieving the best health care for them. My job is to be an avid listener, an up to the minute educator, to be there whenever needed, and to be as comforting a presence as possible. Their job is to have discourse wit me, ask questions, and follow the plan if they wish. Being punctual for appointment times is of utmost importance to me, as is explaining things in simple to understand language. Being a physician is more about building trust and personal relationship than science and technology.

Dr. Teicher and everyone in his office are fabulous. He's very flexible and can think outside the box. I've been to many providers who just followed their average patient checklist and barely seemed to listen to me. Dr. Teicher nailed my accent within about 10 seconds on the first visit. It's a little thing but it's a connection. It makes you feel more like a human being and not just patient #X.

Swedish Patient
Dr. Teicher was extremely responsive to our very difficult medical issue. Dr. Teicher assessed the situation and recognized the serious urgency of the situation. Because of the immediacy need, he met via teleconference before the beginning of his regularly scheduled workday, personally pushed to have a CT scan set up as quickly as possible and then personally pushed to have an upper EUS performed as quickly as possible. He went out of his way to advocate for me. He answered all my questions and communicated compassionately when delivering the bad news.A major negative is scheduling with Swedish. Swedish appears to follow standard generic process rules, regardless of differing situations, which likely results in unnecessary delays and higher rates of patients' death. We truly appreciate Dr. Teicher's awareness of the urgency of this situation and his very proactive stance to obtain the medical diagnosis.
