Dr Bowen always is caring and helpful. Although I wish him well I hate he is retiring

Dr James Bowen is an exemplary physician, patient advocate, healthcare administrator, and visionary in his field. As medical director for the Swedish MS Center (and at previous institutions), Dr.Bowen created a comprehensive approach to a complex and idiosyncratic disease. The services offered through the Center staff provide not only relief and management of symptoms, but training and support in all aspects of a fully lived life. Every staff member I have encountered there has demonstrated great expertise and dedication. I wish that model could be actualized more often for healthcare of all kinds.As Dr. Bowen's patient for the last dozen years, I have benefited from his expertise in MS, participating in research studies, and guidance in navigating the current medical systems. All of this was offered with kindness, careful listening and reflection, and a steady sense of humor. I offer my respect and gratitude for his care.

Dr. Bowen will be greatly missed when he retires in December.

Dr. Bowen has been a terrific doctor for my MS care and the MS Center which he created has provided the coordinated MS care that has helped me manage and live well with MS.

Dr. Bowen has been my MS specialist since 1999. He has ALWAYS been an awesome caring doctor and although I'm sad he's retiring, he deserves it. I've seen him for half of his career. I'm honored to have had him for this long. BEST MS DOCTOR EVER!!!!

Dr. Bowen is excellent for MS patients. I am saddened to see him retire. I will never be able to replace him. He has been knowledgeable, supportive and resourceful. He is absolutely the best in the field. I am lucky to have been his patient for over 20 years.

Dr Bowen had been a caring and supportive person who has been instrumental in helping me understand and deal with any issues that affect my MS, balance issues and aging with understanding, helpful suggestions and without patronizing me.

I'll miss Dr.Bowen very much, I have been his patient since 1999. These days it's hard sometimes to find a doctor to take time, and interest in your medical condition. He has been a great Doctor to have in the MS field.

Dr. Bowen is an extraordinary provider and an exemplary person. His warm and calm demeanor invite relaxed communication about whatever topic a patient needs addressed. Dr. Bowen listens, and responds with clarity, detail and expertise. He puts patients first in whatever time that requires. He shares enthusiasm and curiosity. Dr. Bowen's mastery and vision for care are also expressed in the collaborative and holistic Swedish MS Center.

As always, Dr. Bowen was professional, courteous and knowledgable. He was easy to talk with, answered all of my questions, and carefully reviewed my recent medical test results including labs and MRIs. Dr. Bowen is an amazing MS neurology specialist who provides excellent care, offers ample information on current clinical trials and breakthroughs in MS research, and is very receptive to questions, discussions about MS, and looks not just at symptomatic issues but the whole individual and offers options for improved functionality and quality of life concerns.

Dr. Bowen is fantastic. The MS Center is great.

I have alway been comfortable and at easy during my visits. The clinic is a great resource for those with ms.

Excellent office, knowledgeable, professional neurologist. Glad he is my doctor. Dr Bowen treat me like royalty and any new issues I have, he referred me to right area such as rehab. Feel so comfortable and trust his view and input. Never had an issue. I have to add that pharmacotherapy services to get my RX been a blessing. Thank you.

Dr. Bowen is always up to date on current medication management and treatment options. A good interactive practitioner who listens as well as advises.

Dr. Bowen is the best doctor I've ever had. I've been seeing him for 24 years now. I fly from northern California to see him for appointments. He's is an extraordinary health care provider and you should do whatever it is to make him and his associates happy.

All experiences with this doctor are very good. In this case, comments about the spouse's cognitive state from a related primary care doctor are firmly disputed.

Dr. Bowen is so knowledgeable and he passes his knowledge on to me in a very easy to understand manner. He is my favorite doctor of all time!
