About Martha L. Short
I have been working in neurosurgery in the Seattle area since 2002, and movement disorder neurosurgery since 2005. I work at a center with incredible surgeons, neurologists, and supporting staff. My current position, as senior practitioner in the Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) clinic, is my favorite. I love seeing the difference in patient’s lives before and after their procedure. I believe that well informed patients have an easier time going through their treatment.

Martha Short is an absolute brilliant person in her field of practice!!!!

Martha was wonderful. She did some testing and gave us a lot of educational information about DBS surgery, which is a complicated and somewhat intimidating prospect. The information was thorough, but presented in a clear manner that was easy to process. She also asked a lot of questions about my medical history, so I felt like the information presented was targeted to my situation. It was one of the best office visits I have ever had.

I love Martha! She is so knowledgeable about DBS and always takes time to inform me. I look forward to my appointments. It's obvious she loves what she does.
