A good doctor.

It took 2 months to schedule and see this doctor. This is not the doctors fault. It takes forever to get an appointment with a doctor.This doctor was excellent. He took the time to discuss my situation and to review my MRI's with me. He discussed my condition and probable options with me.

The doctor and his team are always in good moods and respectful.

ovidence benefits from employing / contracting with him. Dr. Merifield alone is a huge draw for the pain management specialty of your hospital- the positive results of his care speak for themselves. I appreciate his ethics, listening, repeating what he believes I'm having an issue with so I know he understands what my issue is, he tells me what he knows of it, what the industry is doing about it, options, pro's & con's of each, and together, we come up with a plan to manage the issue. I very much value being a part of my care team & brought into the decision making, as I'm better prepared with proper education, expectations, and ability to care & live a better quality of life afterwards. If / when he suggests a procedure, we talk through all the details, and day of, he walks me through it, and when operating, he talks me through the procedure, often checking in with how I'm doing / feeling, making sure I'm comfortable as possible before continuing. Dr. Merifield is an extremely valuable asset, and overall great person.

He is 10/10 and I had such a great onboarding with him I have decided to move all of my pain management under his care. I wish I would have found him years ago. :)

Dr. Merrifield is an excellent doctor; he is empathic, very knowledgeable, a great listener.

He answered my questions very thoroughly because I thought I was to have surgery. He explained this was a non-surgical procedure and asked why I thought so. I explained that a friend's wife had had something similar with surgery.

Extremely well listener, which is not easy to find. My Dr always remembers our prior visits.. SO helpful !! I feel very understood :) :)

At first we really didn't see eye to eye I feel we both got over that and now I feel we have a good relationship with each other.

Dr Merifield saved my life , I was not sleeping for 5 days in a row and once falling asleep and. Fortunately only hitting a sign. He has brought my life back into balance and as I said I am very grateful to have him.
