Choosing Swedish for Your Specialty Gynecology Care
Whether you need treatment for a low libido, menopause symptoms, endometriosis or bladder issues, we offer a whole-person approach to your care across many different specialties.
When it comes to pelvic pain or incontinence issues like an overactive bladder, we understand how these conditions interfere with your day-to-day life. For many people, the fear of embarrassment or lack of accessible bathrooms means giving up physical and social activities that they previously enjoyed.
We offer a variety of services to treat conditions that cause pelvic pain and muscle issues – like the MonaLisa Touch® carbon dioxide laser – to get you back to the life you love. And our board-certified urogynecologists offer compassionate, innovative and personalized care for your specific needs, so you always feel comfortable discussing different treatment options.
Menopause is a completely natural part of life and doesn’t necessarily require treatment. However, if you’re experiencing menopause symptoms that impact your daily activities – like hot flashes, vaginal dryness or frequent urination – there are a variety of medications and hormone therapies that can help. We also help you explore alternative therapies like acupuncture, herbal supplements and lifestyle changes.
Menstrual disorders, hormonal disorders and fibroids can cause consistent pain that wind up taking an emotional and physical toll on you. While these conditions may occur separately, they’re often related, which is why we take a holistic approach to your care plan and ensure that you get a complete diagnosis.
When it comes to sexual health, some people require simple treatment while others require more complex care and could benefit from an interdisciplinary approach. Everyone has a different body; your individual treatment plan will be personalized to your needs.
We want you to feel comfortable talking openly about your sexual health so that you fully understand all options for improving and enhancing your quality of life.

Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery
Our expert staff specialize in minimally invasive surgery, including laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures and other robotic-assisted surgeries. These procedures are often used to treat a variety of gynecological conditions including fibroids, menstrual conditions like endometriosis and hormonal conditions like ovarian cysts.
During minimally invasive surgery, incisions tend to be less than an inch. If you’re a candidate for this type of procedure, then you could potentially have a shorter hospital stay, heal faster and experience less pain, discomfort and blood loss than a traditional surgery.
Frequently Asked Questions
We recommend an annual exam annually, but some people can get a breast and pelvic exam with their primary care doctor and don’t need to see a gynecologist.
You can also schedule these exams with us, and we’re available for any concerns. Screening tests like pap smears may become less frequent as you enter menopause, but this depends on your health history and should be discussed with your doctor.
Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) can be one of the safest interventions for menopausal symptoms. Not everyone needs it, but if you are very symptomatic, please come talk with us about the data and research of its long-term risks and benefits. We will personalize the discussion based on your personal and family history.
Please come see us! No one should live with pain during sex. We have many helpful interventions, including medications, physical therapy, laser therapy and even surgery if necessary. We will work together to find the best pathway to pain-free intercourse.
Our gynecologists and urogynecologist team can evaluate you and discuss options for management and treatment if you receive a prolapse diagnosis.
We’ll start with an evaluation to determine if it’s your bladder waking you up or other symptoms. Then, we can work with you on lifestyle and medication options to reduce this sleep disturbance.
Many people experience incontinence as they age, especially if they’ve had children. Our physicians can discuss medical or surgical solutions with you to improve your comfort level and quality of life.
