SEATTLE, Nov. 27, 2024 – Providence Swedish Cherry Hill has earned the Cardiac Center of Excellence certification from Det Norske Veritas (DNV), becoming one of three Cardiac Centers of Excellence in the U.S and the second on the West Coast.
The certification recognizes excellence in cardiac health care related to heart failure, extracorporeal life support and ventricular assist device programs through a series of surveys. The surveys audit an organization’s program management, quality management system, infection prevention and control and several other elements of patient care and safety.
"We are honored the Cherry Hill campus has earned the prestigious Cardiac Center of Excellence certification,” said Elizabeth Wako, M.D., president and CEO of Swedish Health Services. “Thank you to everyone involved in earning this certification – you set the standard for excellence in cardiac care.”

Congratulations to the teams and caregivers at Cherry Hill who continue to deliver exceptional care, exhibiting an unwavering commitment to their patients.
