This year marks the ninth annual "Storm Out Cancer" night, a highlight of the partnership between the Seattle Storm and Providence Swedish, which has been the Storm's official healthcare partner since 2016.
Join us as the Seattle Storm hosts “Storm Out Cancer” night, presented by Providence Swedish on Friday, August 30, as they face off against New York Liberty at 7 p.m. at Climate Pledge Arena.
As part of the event, the Storm Foundation will make a significant contribution by donating $20,000 to the Swedish Cancer Institute’s Patient Assistance Fund. This fund helps patients cover essential costs such as rent, childcare, groceries, utilities, medication, and transportation to and from appointments, providing critical support during cancer treatment. 
Game day giveaway
The first 5,000 fans to attend the game will receive plantable seed cards, allowing them to write tributes to loved ones affected by cancer. At the game, fans will be able to personalize a sign and display during the game to support friends and loved ones who have been affected by cancer. Afterwards, the cards can be planted as a symbol of renewal and hope.
