Diversity Scholarship
In an effort to increase the diversity of practicing doulas, Swedish has established the Swedish Doula Diversity Scholarship. The goal of the scholarship is to support the development and entry of more doulas of color, LBGTQ doulas, and doulas from other underrepresented groups into the doula profession.
The scholarship includes:
- Fully funded doula training at any of of the following programs:
- The Simkin Center for Allied Birth Vocations at Bastyr University
- Big Belly Services
- The Organization of Labor Assistants for Birth Options and Resources (ToLabor)
- Paradigm Doulas: Certified Perinatal Coach program
- Sista Midwife Doula Training
- Full funding for certification
- Access to training library
- Opportunity to shadow a doula at a birth
- Drop-in study space
