Conservative care is a variety of non-surgical treatments used to manage neck or back conditions. Depending on your condition, you may receive one or more of these treatments:

What is interventional pain management?

Interventional pain management refers to non-surgical treatments for neck or back pain. Unlike other means of conservative care, interventional pain management involves invasive techniques. At Swedish, we offer multiple interventional pain procedures, including but not limited to:

Epidural steroid injections
Nerve ablations
Spinal cord stimulation
Kyphoplasty/Vertebroplasty

The management of pain has improved dramatically in recent years with the introduction of new drugs, devices and treatments. Swedish Pain Services has been at the forefront of research in developing many of these advances and treats a wide variety of pain-related problems, including back pain.
